Brian MacAulay I is currently a Lead Economist at the Digital Catapult in London. Brian is a professional economist with over 25 years of experience working at an advanced level of economic theory and applied research. A significant strength is in harnessing inter-disciplinary research to explore new and innovative solutions to wider economic and strategy questions including regional economics and dynamic market processes. Currently working on application of Agent Based and Complexity modelling to understand diffusion and emergence in innovation ecosystems.
As a member of the Expert Stakeholder Group in PILLARS he aims to contribute my experience and research in examining innovation and industrial policies, particularly in the area of digital technologies. At Digital Catapult he examines, at a systems level, the impact of interventions, including skills, market growth and new business models.
